I have had the 80 volt zero turn mower and it's sure nicer than gas. No gasoline to handle and quiet too.

DONT BUY THIS MOWER!!! Blade motors die after just a few months and are very difficult to have replaced.

When this mow was delivered the left blade was spinning backwards because it was not wired properly. It was a hassle finding the problem. Greenworks seems to have good products but is very weak on support.

The lawnmower itself works well so far however GreenWorks sent me 1 dead battery. This makes me question their Qaulity Checks. I will come back to update review if there are other issues discovered in the next few months.

My 80V zero turn mower with bagger has left a clean cut and no leaves. The bags filled faster than I expected but I'm getting better at anticipating how much is enough.

Update after using bagger accessory for autumn leaf removal. Love it. Maybe not quite as thorough as a high powered leaf blower but so much easier and quieter and it gets the job done. The mower blades chop the leaves so some of the pieces fall down into the turf. I found that if there's a thick layer of leaves then running over the yard with the bagger chute removed and the mulch plate installed and then re-installing them for a second run creates a much finer mulch suitable for garden beds. It also means I only need to empty the bags twice instead of 6 times. The chute and mulch plate are easy to swap on and off with just a philips screwdriver and small pair of channel lock plyers. The two bags are easy to remove and empty. Just keep an eye on the transparent section of the chute and as soon as you see the leaves swirling around the bags are full. If the chute does get clogged it's very easy to unhook and clean out. Also the plastic hood over the bags doesn't really need to have the strap engaged every time as it stays fully closed even when the bags get over-filled. BTW it's probably much less effective if the leaves get wet so I'll mow them 4 or 5 times in the fall if rain is frequently in the forecast. I still use an electric leaf blower to get them away from trees and shrubs etc and for cleaning off the mower before putting it away.

Pro - 1. Zero-turn vs tractor: I think all ZT's will have trouble going sideways on hills. The front wheels have no grip and if the rear wheels loose a little traction it becomes unstable. This one goes straight up or down my 13.5 degree slope without a problem. Very controlled and lots of torque. And I have no problem mowing around trees and shrubs with 1 ft radius.2. Simple control panel: Nothing much to go wrong here. I don't want a fancy and fragile LCD display.3. Cargo bin: Very handy feature. I used it to haul 80# bags of cement to the back yard w/o needing to get out the garden cart.4. Construction and paint seat: Very solid steel and welds. Paint was perfect. Seat with armrests very comfortable and seems rugged enough. Springs are a bit stiff. Tilts forward for easy access to batteries.5. Costco: Return policy extra set of batteries discount and extended warrantee and pre-assembly service made it a too good to pass-up. And their delivery service was great! The guys dropped it off at the road and pushed it the 60 feet to my garage. And they went over the items to make sure everything was there. (I gave them a nice tip.) Note - I was unable to leave a review at Costco website due to error while setting up cookies.Con - 1. Takes a few days but running a ZT eventually becomes intuitive and really fun. You need to master the zero turn so one tire doesn't dig up the lawn but if you nudge one wheel into fwd and the other in rev it'll turn on a dime w/o issue. 2. Doesn't like going sideway on hills. 3. Drive wheels slip easily on damp grass. (Maybe adding some weight to the cargo bin will help?)4. Unlike a tractor mower you need to keep both hands on the controls constantly so maneuvering under my weeping beech tree is a challenge. 5. I had to buy 2 new tire pressure gauges. The rear tires are 8 psi so I got a 15 psi gauge. The front tires are 35 psi but the valve stem is hard to get to and you need one that has a sharp angle.Batteries: Lithium batteries are so costly to replace it was an issue for me but a free 2nd set eliminates that worry. I'll keep one set cool in my basement at 50% charge to extend their life and have them as a backup. (You can check the exact % charge level by inserting them in the mower one at a time. A set of 6 seem to all get drained at an equal rate.) With an 8 yr warrantee I might never need to buy new ones. 80 volt technology provides more power and it should be around for a long time. I'll also look into GW's other 80V equipment including their 120 volt inverter for when our power goes out. Removeable batteries make this possible. Plus you can store the mower outside without damaging them due to very cold or hot temps. And for large lawns you can swap them w/o waiting to recharge. A nice feature all around!Front Hitch: I bought a 2 hitch with a ring on it and am building a hoist to raise the front end. This will make it easier to remove blades for sharpening and for swapping in the high-lift blades that come with the bagger. (This is always an issue with riding mowers. Just look on youtube.)Bagger accessory: I got the bagger on sale from GW specifically for fall leaf cleanup. I think I was the last person in my town to still rake leaves (I hate loud leaf blowers). Last year I discovered mowing/bagging them was much easier. But my beloved 25 yr old Black&Decker lead-acid battery powered push mower wouldn't take that for long. Also blades were no longer available. I want to keep it going though as a backup. And the 1 bushel bag needs frequent emptying. The GW unit is 6 bushels and is very easy to empty. Hopefully it shreds them really fine so I can use for mulch on my shrubs.Me -70 and just retired in southwest CT. Bad knees so a riding mower was in the cards. Only 1/8 acre out of my half acre is lawn with lots of trees and shrubs to mow around and a 13.5 degree hill ~ 5 ft high next to driveway. I never mow when grass is wet. $4-5K is a big investment for me but the stars were aligned so it made sense to do it now. Looking at the GW chain saw hedge trimmer and pole saw. Hopefully GW will offer accessories for the front ETO hitch.

Lasted 1 month and 5 days. Now I'm getting a pmu12 code and it says battery management module failure. Guess I'm returning to Costco.

Runs great cuts great but hard to put in reverse even with the seat all the way back. I have to push the handles hard into my chest to go in reverse.
